Port Williams Summer Day Camp 2023

We are happy to announce that we will be holding three Summer Camps! We have arranged with the Port Williams United Baptist Church to use their facility as our homebase.  Please review the information below to determine if your child(ren) would like to attend the Camp(s).

Campers:

Ages 5-11 as of Jan 1st, 2023

Living in the Port William School District

20 Spots, plus a waitlist

Dates:

#1 July 17th - 21st

#2 July 24th - 28th

#3 July 31st - Aug. 4th

Hours:

Camp hours 8:00AM-3:00PM.

Pick up and drop off will happen at the north entrance doors. If you are dropping off your child after 8:30AM and/or picking up before 2:00PM, please alert a camp leader. The Church will be our home base, but we will be using many community facilities such as the Community Center, Park, Trails, Splash Pad, Fields etc.…

All campers must be picked up by 3:00PM.

Cost/Payment:

The cost for summer day camp is $75/week.

Payment is requested upon registration. If you are not able to pay at registration it is required 7 days before the start of your registered week. One email reminder will be sent 11 days before Camp.   If your payment is not received your child will be removed from registration and the spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. This will be strictly enforced. It is important that you confirm your email address on your registration form.

If your child is not able to attend the camp week, please notify us immediately. We will issue a refund and fill the spot with a child from the waitlist.   Refunds will only be issued for full week absences not partial absences.

Leaders:

We will have three leaders to provide a safe, engaging environment for your child.

Tentative Schedule:

8:00-8:45 Drop off and free play

8:45-9:00 Camper meeting

9:00-10:00 Activity (maybe at the community center depending on plan and availability)

10:00-10:30 Snack

10:30-11:45 Activity (maybe at the community center depending on plan and availability)

11:45-12:30 Lunch and preparation for afternoon adventure

12:30-2:00 Splash Park, playground, trails, school grounds

2:00-3:00 Travel back to pick up location, cool down meeting, and activities.

Sessions:

Our goal is to provide a camp experience to meet the interest of your child.  When completing the registration form please talk with your child(ren) and share their interests.  This will help the camp leaders plan activities.

We will have community guest speakers sharing with campers.  Information about the daily activities will be sent out to registered children July 3rd by email.

Camper Participation:

Our goal is to offer a fun, safe, supervised environment for your child to spend some of their summer. Camp may not be the right fit for all children. Participation is key.  If your child is unwilling to participate on a consistent basis and interrupts the flow of our program, it may not be the appropriate place for your child. If we are having difficulty managing your child’s behavior, we will communicate with you to determine solutions and possibly suggest other arrangements.

If your child is a threat to themselves, other campers, or staff, you will be asked to pick them up immediately and they will not be permitted back to camp.
